(title unknown): "'Penthouse' Founder Bob Guccione Dies

Bob Guccione, who brought full-frontal nudity to the newsstands and built a multimillion dollar publishing empire on the success of his flagship Penthouse magazine, died of cancer in Plano, Texas, on Wednesday, his family said. He was 79.

He earned world headlines and sent Penthouse sales rocketing with publication of nude photographs of Miss America, Vanessa Williams, in 1984 and of pop queen Madonna in 1985.

With its frontal pictures of naked women, the magazine drew immediate criticism that only spurred its popularity.

In 1969, Penthouse invaded the United States and challenged Playboy with more sexually explicit stories and photographs, many taken by Guccione himself in soft-focus. The magazine also was among the first to run a column for Vietnam veterans.

The Madonna photos, taken years before when she was a model, sparked a bitter fight between Penthouse and Playboy, each claiming their pictures were sexier and rushed them into print in July of 1985.

Did Google Street View Find God Above a Swiss Lake? [Cartography]

Did Google Street View Find God Above a Swiss Lake? [Cartography]: "

Did Google Street View Find God Above a Swiss Lake?Who are those blurry, possibly robed figures hovering above a lake in Quarten, Switzerland, visible on Google Street View? Is it something on the camera lens? Or is it maybe... God and His only begotten Son?

And who's to say that God isn't 'something on the lens,' in some kind of a cosmic, metaphysical sense? Am I right? Here's a close-up view of our apparition:

Report: NeNe Leakes joining 2011 cast of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Report: NeNe Leakes joining 2011 cast of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’: "

neneThe third and final leak this week of cast members of Donald Trump’s 2011 edition of “Celebrity Apprentice” is out because the show started taping yesterday.

And Atlanta has its second representative after rapper Lil Jon: NeNe Leakes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta!”

Yes, our gal is certainly guaranteed to bring on the drama. Who will she clash with? I can see a good rumble between her and Star Jones or Meatloaf. Others on the cast, according to Las Vegas Weekly’s Robin Leach, include a host of musicians: LaToya Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Meatloaf, David Cassidy, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray and John Rich of Big & Rich fame. Trump likes eye candy so there’s 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk and supermodel Niki Taylor.

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

Leakes can also face off against crabby IRS-avoiding Richard Hatch of “Survivor” fame. From the acting world, there’s actress Lisa Rinna, who has her …

Madonna: "I hate actresses"

Madonna: "I hate actresses": "Judging by the following letter, Madonna wasn't exactly thrilled when filming A League of Their Own back in 1991. Writing to friend and photographer Steven Meisel - the man with whom Madonna later worked on Sex, the highly controversial book also mentioned in closing - the frustrated entertainer bemoans the lack of 'beautiful men' in the city of Chicago, makes known her apparent hatred of all actresses, and calls Geena Davis a 'Barbie doll'.

Transcript follows. Image courtesy of our good friends at Hard Rock. As always, a visit to the Hard Rock Memorabilia website is highly recommended, as is a jaunt over to their Facebook page. Thanks Jeff!

Dear Steven

For some reason I thought you were angry with me - because I finked out as a judge at the 'Love Ball'? Because I'm still nice to Herb Ritts?? Because my hair is the wrong color? I hope you will forgive me for all of the above. Because I cannot suffer any more than I have in the past month learning how to play baseball with a bunch of girls (yuk) in Chicago (double yuk) I have a tan, I am dirty all day and I hardly ever wear make-up. Penny Marshall is Lavern - Geena Davis is a Barbie doll and when God decided where the beautiful men were going to live in the world, he did not choose Chicago. I have made a few friends but they are athletes, not actresses. I hate actresses, they have nothing on the house of extravaganza. I wish I could come to N.Y and visit. Are you having a good Summer? Saw the piece in the N.Y Times Magazine. Great!! - I would love to do this book thing with you so lets talk soon.

THANKS ALOT STEVEN!!

Love Dita

Olbermann: O'Reilly 'just another Fox News bigot'

Bill O'Reilly's controversial appearance on The View Thursday gave MSNBC's Keith Olbermann just the excuse he needed to let loose on the conservative pundit.

O'Reilly may have become Thursday's most talked about story after his comments caused two hosts of ABC's popular daytime show to walk off the set.

The Associated Press detailed the walk off:

Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg walked off the stage of 'The View' during an argument with Bill O'Reilly over the proposed Islamic center near the site of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The women objected to the Fox News Channel host saying that 'Muslims killed us on 9/11.'

Olbermann, who has a longstanding feud with O'Reilly, couldn't let the opportunity pass without using his 'Worst Person in the World' segment to call out the Fox News host.

'Lost in that, of course, is that fact that Bill O. without the benefit of a script revealed himself to be just another Fox News bigot and Islamophobe,' explained Olbermann.

'It's like asking who used to be the cleverist juvenile delinquent in a school. Now he's just parroting Gretchen Carlson and Glenn Beck over there,' said Olbermann. 'It's sad.'

Behar used her platform on Headline News later that evening to elaborate on the controversy.

US Magazine noted:

On her Headline News show Thursday night, Behar continued her O'Reilly rant, stating that he had a 'pinhead moment.'

She said she was 'really angry ... I thought he was saying something that I construe as hate speech, frankly.'

To say Muslims were responsible for 9/11, 'to lump an entire group like that,' is wrong, she said.

Behar told PopEater, 'He's an idiot!'
